NC+ Has (September 2019) rebranded as Platforma Canal. Now French CanalPlus and TVN are the major shareholders
Satellite Tv Europe can install for you, the Polish Platforma Canal channels. Platforma is the latest Polish tv platform and broadcasts all the well-known and popular Polish channels. . Back in March of 2013, Cyfra+ was merged with competitor platform N and so NC + came about and dominated the Polish broadcasting scene.

Popular Polish entertainment provider NC+, the largest of the broadcasters in the country, is to change its name to Platforma Canal+ in the next few months
The company Wirtualne Media reports that Canal+ wants to raise its profile in the NC+ portfolio.
Back in 2013 when Cyfra+ and N were merged, to create NC+ , the platforms operator ITI was 51% owned by Canal+ along with TVN 32% and Liberty Global ( owns UPC ) 17% , the other backers.
NC+ or Platforma Canal+ will join Cyfra Plus , showing the new sports channels Canal+ Sports 3 and 4 from this July 10th 2019
If you have a receiver with “Blind Search” , like the Amiko 8150 or 8900 Alien then its really easy to tune in any new frequencies. Polish free channels recently changed many of the frequencies used, so this would be a useful feature to have.
For anyone having an older receiver, like a TM800 for example, without this facility, here is a list of frequencies to add to your box, with polarity and symbol rates, to update your Polish viewing.

Poland broadcasts quite a few free channels, which can be received with simple standard definition receivers. To receive all of them, a dish on both Hotbird and Astra satellites is required

With the current production of HD receivers reaching an all time high , the prices have dropped dramatically so make sure to choose an HD receiver, even if all your channels are SD ( standard definition) the reason being not just that most of Europe countries are planning to introduce HD channels, but also the screen rendering of SD channels from an HD box is a lot better, due to the electronics. New digital filters , integral in the display chips in new receivers, have brought the price down , that makes it easy for the receiver manufacturers to include better and more complex filters ( see my article on HD screen rendering ) which will give you a better crisper picture with less digital ‘effects’ , the fuzzy bits you always get with digitally produced pictures.
